THE HILLS HAVE EYES, OR SOME ARE 'CRAVEN' THAT MUTANT VIOLENCE

Wes Craven's notorious film, The Hills Have Eyes, which is about a family that journeys cross country and gets stranded in the desert and preyed upon by mutants that live in the surrounding mountains, was released on October 11th from Arrow Video on Blu-Ray/DVD combo.

Full disclosure, I'm not the biggest fan of this version as I am of the remake (yeah, yeah, I know!) The subject matter was awesome, but the film as a whole just didn't appeal to me that much. The characters were ok, the violence was cool and the film was well-made; it's regarded as a horror classic and it has all my respect, but it just wasn't my scene.

As far as this Arrow Video release goes: it's great. The 4K restoration is beautiful with minimal artifacts. The desert colors really pop and the sound is crystal clear. The set comes loaded with a ton of special features of which some are new and some were ported over from the Anchor Bay release in 2003.

If you are a fan of The Hills Have Eyes, then this is the release you've been waiting for, so order fast because, this limited edition of 10,000 will sell out.
